FREE courses from the Cumbria Chamber of Commerce

Hi,

Just loving all the free courses that have been put on by the Chamber of Commerce for the Cumbria Rural Women’s Growth network.  What is not to like… the presenters/trainers are all amazing, to name a few Maureen Colohan @Mindfully Slim  Denise Conroy @Inglewood Hospitality, Justine Douglas @CTS Cumbria Training Services, Hazel Lanchbery, Alix Martin and of course there are more. I just feel very advantaged at present and do not understand why more business women or artists in Cumbria are not taking advantage of this offer.  could you not just get yourself onto this list or Database as it is FREE for all rural business women not just those who are CoC members. See Cumbria Chamber of Commerce  ‘Growth Hub’.

Yesterday Justine helped me to see clearly the way that I was communicating, I think I knew but it is not one of those things that you really want to admit to I suppose, until someone holds a mirror up to your way of being. Also pics below of Denise Conroy and her goldilocks methods of pricing – a bit different from mine but similar concept!  She kept us all engaged all day and managed to change a shakey strategy into a confident one.

Who knew women in Cumbria were so amazing we are hiding out light under a bushel.  Some of these pics below show what an amazing time you can have on these courses.  Featured also below is Catherynn Dunstan who is the organiser and has done a great job on this seminar series.  Why aren’t all you Cumbrian business women linked to her and finding out when the next training session is in your town.  I’ll be running a few more soon on ‘Transformation for Personal Success’ styling yourself and your brand with confidence.  I have no pics for mine and I am behind the camera – as usual more comfortable that way – but Denise is a bit of a performer although I kept out all her really juicy shots. Just managed to get a Justine pic  below as she was moving a bit too quickly to catch – that woman is a real highflyer- in more ways than one.  Oh and the Remarkable Jennie Sutton !

Urban v. Haute Couture

Interesting Street Style from Asia ht.tp://www.streetstylenews.com/res/navbar10/navbarb.php?ac=to&ul=http://on.wsj.com/1fYKHzs&sn=WSJ%20SceneStyle%20Asia  the men seem to do it well, see below kinda cute.  As for Paris Fashion week, the designers seem to be showing a lot of space age metallic cloth and all in ones, that foil coated look is tricky to wear – I think the east seem to have a very cool take on relaxed urban future and ladylike street style that works in the every day.  The leather jackets and garments do futuristic better for me that lame and metallic fibres – its much more haute couture than urban.
