Welcome to my blog. You will find it is a mixture of arty, textile and fashion stuff.
I am a Fashion Stylist/Illustrator and I work for individual and corporate clients, so you will see a few links to other fashion and style blogs here. Fashion for me links closely with textiles and art, so there are links to exhibitions I enjoy or am taking part in and books that I am working on. This is where the illustration comes in as they are all illustrated by me using my textile millinery and fashion illustration skills.
The ‘Creative Style’ company site gives details of my background and where to buy my books along with my stylist services and philosophy – as it is not a typical one. For me it is all about ‘Being remarkable . . . by being yourself’. It is aimed particularly at women who are needing to convince themselves how remarkable they can look regardless of the other things in their lives. Also those who find it tricky matching their style to their new self – image, eg: changing their colouring, ageing, becoming an adult, becoming a mum, becoming the boss, the grandma, the lover!
Need I go on we change persona for each event, helping girls and women gain confidence to deal comfortably and sensibly with their changing situations and look great as they do it whatever their income, age or size.
My research is in design and experiential learning – helping people to learn from their own experience to develop their own personal creative style. Looking good comes from confidence and some extra tips along the way.
